This mandolin is an example of a truly custom ordered Ritz model. The top is sitka spruce, back and sides are Brazilian rosewood. The neck is Honduras mahogany, and fingerboard, bridge, and finger rest are ebony. The headstock overlay is a combination of ebony with an insert wedge of the same spruce as the soundboard. Gold plated hardware and Waverly machines make a gentle yet rich contrast with the understated black binding. The top is moderately shaded a specially mixed red brown to blend with the colors of the rosewood.
