Ritz series mandolins have the body shape of an archtop guitar, only much smaller. We have several styles of sound holes available, as well as two headstock shapes to choose from.

The F model is the standard of the industry, originally designed by the Gibson Mandolin and Guitar Co. more than 80 years ago. The F models that we make are closely based on the Gibson F5 models made from 1922 - 1924 and signed by Lloyd Loar.

The DS model is a symmetrical 2 point body design. Usually made with a slim “snake head” headstock, it is also available with my other headstock shapes at additional cost.

The DC model is an asymmetrical 2 point body design, that is a stream lined design with fresh clean lines. This is a very versatile form that can be made to suit your preferences

Custom Octave Mandolin, originally conceived as an F style instrument, the design evolved to what you see here. It is trimmed with high contrast ivoroid binding, ebony appointments, and gold plated hardware. The hand made tailpiece is designed to use ball end strings for ease of finding strings.
