The headstock features hand cut and engraved mother of pearl inlays set into an ebony headstock overlay piece, and bound with white binding and multiple purflings. The back of the headstock is overlaid with black wood veneer. Gold plated Grover "Imperials" and a gold plated finial are fitted to the 'key hole' headstock.
    The neck is figured maple reinforced with an adjustable truss rod and capped with an ebony fingerboard with split block inlays, and abalone position markers on the white binding.
    The back and sides are carved from maple, and the soundboard is carved from well seasoned spruce. The body is trimmed with white binding and multiple purflings, then finished with nitrocellulose lacquer.
